contrary to Liberal Party lies, the obscene rises in electricty bills
over the last decade were completely unrelated to the so-called "Carbon
Tax".

they were due to deliberate over-investment in the state and national
power grids, because of a perverse financial icentive to do so -
electricity companies are allowed to recover cost + 10% of every cent
they spend on infrastructure, whether it's needed or not. so if they
spend a billion, they get a guaranteed return of $1.1 Billion, a $100
million profit.

these incentive rules are, of course, largely due to the privatisation
of electricity supply.
