What they didn't say is what happens to existing Telstra/Optus HFC
internet customers. I have 100mbit downlink (but ~3Mbit uplink) on
Telstra with DOCSIS 3.0 right now, so will I be better off on an NBN
plan on the same cable? Possibly, as a 100/40 NBN plan from iiNet is
about the same price but has much faster uploads, assuming the iiNet HFC
NBN plan would cost the same as an iiNet FTTN HFC plan.

I don't understand why their FAQ shows the cable terminating at an "nbn
connection box" which then connects to service provider equipment and
not directly to mine. Both Telstra and Optus already supplied all in one
cable modem/router/access point devices on their existing services.
