One of the bugaboos of opposition to FttP is implementation cost.
I've been told that, amortised over the service life of the asset, the
implementation cost of fibre to every premises on the mainland would
average out to less than a dollar per week. Does that sound right? If
not, then how far would a dollar per week get us?
For the sake of simplicity, ignore everything but the mainland. (the
most remote communities and stations will present enough challenges)
