There’s this update about the recent CIA ‘CherryBlossm’ from one target LinkSys http://www.linksys.com/us/support-article?articleNum=263800

I <http://www.linksys.com/us/support-article?articleNum=263800>t lists almost 30 routers, all pre-2013 that can be fixed (?) with new firmware.

Separately its interesting how many pages out there reference the dd-wrt / tomato options as being ‘safe’ and 'no need to worry’, no information or rationale, they’re just ‘safe’. I’d be interested in any learnings link may have to share.
