To anyone outside an urban area, this sort of thing is far too familiar.
I hate to think how many lives have been lost, apart from other costs.

The NBN has given Telstra another excuse to evade responsibility. A very
good argument for Australia reverting to a single, publicly owned and
operated, telecommunications infrastructure provider. Sadly, our
government is complicit.
