Hi everyone
Given the topics we discuss on Link, I thought this would be relevant for
you all - let me know if you are keen as I may be able to organise an entry
pass for you.

It is on 20-21 September at the UTS Aerial functions centre in Sydney. I’m
sure you’ll find the many policy and technology topics addressed will be of
vital assistance to your work, and a great chance for us to catch up. It
will also give you a good insight into our ongoing work in the consumer
aspects of our connected lives.

We’ve got a great program lined-up that covers topics like smart home
devices, smart communities, digital inclusion, digital government and more.
It will be a lively event with Julie McCrossin as MC for both days this
year.

As well as the highlighted sessions listed below, there will also be
networking opportunities to connect with representatives from industry,
consumer groups and government.

Highlight sessions:
· Keynote by Amanda Long, Director General, Consumers International
· “Consumer protections in the new era” panel with representatives
from the ACCC, ACMA, Australian Privacy Commission and Standards Australia
· “Vision for a connected world where no one gets left behind” with
short presentations on how to ensure no one gets left behind in the
connected world
· Speeches by the Minister for Communications, Shadow Minister for
Communications and Shadow Minister for Regional Communications

The full program is at: http://accan.org.au/accanect

best regards
