There were some concerns expressed about the vulnerability of Scytl's
system to a man-in-the-middle attack in 2015:

The NSW Electoral Commission responded that such an attack was unlikely
due to the "high level of technical expertise" required.
But since then we have seen a technically sophisticated group, perhaps
backed by a nation state, using technical means to try to influence an
election.
The NSW Electoral Commission said the risk was no higher than from a
"malicious postman replacing a postal vote". Perhaps this could be
dubbed an "Pochta Rossii" attack. ;-)
