We had so many problems trying to get connected we gave up and have gone with mobile phone wireless hotspots. It actually saves us money, we only pay for two internet connections, one for each phone, and not three if we include the nbn plan. We now have good internet wherever we go as our phones come with us. We have had to alter our internet usage as we only get 70Gb per month now but that has not had too many issues. Upload and download speeds are acceptable. We save the $70 per month for a 50 internet plan from nbn which we could use if we needed more access but so far have not had to use.

Can't wait for affordable 5G.

This requires a Telstra "Smart Modem", with a SIM card in it. It automatically switches to the mobile data network when the cable stops working (Vodafone offer a similar service called "4G Backup").
