In the context of health, those who promote blockchain as a mechanism
for storing medical records have not the foggiest idea about healthcare
or health data. They think (or at least they say) that blockchain can
solve the problems of security, privacy and interoperability.
This is naive in the extreme. The real problems of health data are all
about the content, not the transport/storage mechanisms. Which is
exactly the same issue that Kim identifies in the context of currencies.
Beware technology vendors selling solutions. Their solutions may well
not solve your problem.
