[LINK] More than a third of NSW drivers have opted for a digital licence

I can see several downsides which would be deal-breakers for me.

1) You have to hand your phone to a policeman if asked to show your license.

2) If you lose your phone, someone else now has your driver's license.

3) If your phone breaks or runs out of charge, you have no way of showing your license.

4) If the police confiscate your phone, say because you took a video which they want as evidence, you now don't have your license 
with you.

5) you have to have a smart phone.

What?  Yes they can.
