The vast majority of Australian internet users do not use third-party VPNs, are not terrorists or potential terrorists, and probably aren't even aware of the possibility their ISPs may be selling their browsing behaviour.  But they do have an awareness and reasonable expectation of privacy.  This has arisen largely from the widely publicised abuses of various large corporations.

It's this group which motivates DOH/DOT and HTTPS development and deployment.
   
My original interest arose from a Choice article.  However I was unable to get DOH operating in mode-3 (no fallback to clear DNS) other than with the Mozilla/Cloudflare/APNIC configuration.  Having a suspicious mind, I wondered whether the Australian security services had nobbled DOH.

Have any Linkers succeeded in getting Firefox DOH going with other services?
