The email does, but the degree-name?  Agreed:  Not much.

I guess it means that 'knowledge management' and 'business intelligence'
have had their day and been put out to pasture, and new buzzphrases are
needed to make it seem as if there's something new out there.


Aside:

Does it make sense for a Federation Uni to buy something, rather than
forge an association with it?  Oh, silly me, it's just a name.

Did they buy Churchill campus as well?

I'm a (now well-justified) sceptic about university amalgamations.

But I feel less jaundiced about the likes of CSU in NSW, and Federation
in Vic, to the extent that their H.O. is regional, and they have a much
better chance of recognising that each region has and wants to have its
own flavour, and hence they may be a bit more tolerant of difference and
less imposing of 'city knows best' uniformity.
