Or the Atari 400, 800 etc. Or the TRS80. Or the Sinclair ZX80 and ZX81.
Or a host of other similar systems that used an external monitor. Hell,
any handheld calculator, if we want to stretch a point. And some modern
mobile phones where you can plug an HDMI monitor in to their USB-C port
(Samsung Galaxy range, I think, and some others), though calling those
"keyboards" might also be stretching the point.

It's pretty typical of the American patent "system" where they accept
pretty much any insanity and let people who object fight it out in the
courts.
