[LINK] MyGov

Just lodged my first ever medicare claim via MyGov. Oh dear.

- there is a huge button labelled "Payments and Claims". There is a
smaller button, lower down and labeled just "Medicare". Guess which one
you have to click to make a claim?

- there is an upload limit of 5MB *total* for uploaded documents. And a
limit of 5 documents *total* per claim. Anyone using a phone to take
snaps of things will need to be able to resize and/or scale, because
practically any modern camera will produce a much bigger image than
that.

- after uploading documents, you have to type in the information that
is already ON the documents - the item numbers, the dates of service,
the dollar amounts, the provider number.

- when it's all done, they produce a claim document for you to
download. It's a PDF, and when downloaded it is called "document.pdf".
Nothing useful in the default filename at all, not the date, not the
source, not the claim ID, nothing.

All those millions and they produce a time-wasting user interface that
is just begging for user errors and typos.

It's too late now, but MyGov really needs to be put out of our misery.

I seethed about it all to my son, who said (rather unsympathetically I
thought) "Let me tell you about Centrelink..."

Regards K.
