Back in 2010-14, I kept banging on about
Consumer-Oriented Social Media (COSM)
(But I never did get to reduce its size and deliver a MicroCOSM).

The most useful paper is here, starting at 3 (earlier is ac bumff):

I did a couple of evaluations years ago, but have never sat down and
evaluated Mastodon. Obviously, as one of the models, it would score
very well; but it would still be worth checking - and upgrading /
articulating my old lists.

Another test of Mastodon would be whether it can be used for team
support in an online-forum manner - a poor man's Atlassian-alt'ive?

Here's what we used when we looked for something workable for the ACS
Constitutional activity, which we set up on the Saturday and went live
with on the Tuesday after the long weekend:

Any critique very welcome - if derisive, off-list of course   (:-)}
