And there's a picture of smiling people and a cute little robot a foot
or so high. Standard stuff for all military "education" - funny how
rarely they show dead people.
So I do hope it's a very short course:
"Are we all here? Good. Now listen up and listen carefully: Always
remember that there is a difference between an autonomous system that
IS trusted and an autonomous system that CAN BE trusted. There are many
of the former, and none of the latter. That is all. You can pick up
your certificates at the door. Goodbye."
Trusted autonomous systems my arse. If it's more complicated than a
light switch, you can't trust it. And you definitely don't give the
damn thing a gun.
