That is the business ARM decided to be in. I visited ARM in 1996, at
their modest HQ in Cherry Hinton, near Cambridge, England. They
described themselves as an IP company, working with the companies which
actually made the chips. Those companies used ARM designs to save
themselves some work. IF ARM wants a bigger cut, then they can expect
