True, but FTA radio seems to be healthy.  Maybe it's partly because (a) people are becoming increasingly cynical & disillusioned about the FTA TV advertising onslaught and poor program quality, and/or (b) the increasing use of listener-feedback by radio producers which gives them a platform on air (some people are very entertaining too!).  And of course you can listen to radio anywhere while you're driving, busy with other domestic chores, or walking the dog.

Poor program-quality on FTA TV generates positive feedback which can only accelerate the process.
