One day I caught an AUSGRID tech at my fuse box - he was upgrading the
fuse (remember when it was time to turn something off, when the fuse blew)

I was trying to find out if there is still peak and offpeak and what the hours are. (Remember offpeak hotwater) https://www.heroplumbing.com.au/blog/how-to-override-off-peak-hot-water
but there is a new term https://www.myconnect.com.au/post/off-peak-electricity
aghast at this offer from AGL (gas) https://www.agl.com.au/residential/energy/compare-plans/energy-offer
new term "time of use" https://www.canstarblue.com.au/electricity/time-use-energy-tariffs-really-stack/

AUSGRID had to allow another company to put batteries in their sub-stations as regulation does not allow them to (or did not a couple of years ago)
Privatisation of AUSGRID or Electricity Supply was offset by money from NSW gov - the offpeak command disappeared. https://www.energy.gov.au/households/Find-the-best-energy-deal
Meanwhile https://www.energy.nsw.gov.au/news/new-incentives-cut-peak-electricity-use https://www.energy.nsw.gov.au/households/ways-get-started-households/easy-ways-save-energy-and-money

We should reduce the flat daily supply cost and increase the cost of electricity that we use.

love to hear your findings
