I imagine matching the demand for concrete & steel with the supply of pre-loved concrete might be an issue though.

And I hope the Cambridge team will take into account the implicit greenhouse load presented by supporting processes if their idea were adopted on a commercial basis.  We never hear proponents of nuclear energy talking about the greenhouse load created by building a reactor (lots of concrete!), mining & refining the fuel, transporting used fuel rods to Europe or the US for processing, transporting the waste back again and then disposing it locally.

Not to mention the implicit strategic risk.  Decentralised and distributed is the way to go IMHO.
