A phone with an external screen, keyboard and mouse might do, instead of
a desktop PC. For years I have tried to do this, but finally got it to
work. This was with a second hand USB-C Docking Station plugged into a
OTG Adapter to an Android 11 phone.

Google is working on a desktop mode for Android, to make it eaiser to
use on a big screen.
