Well, I started from 'a' as you can see :-)

In New Ireland (north central NI to be precise), I heard
laulau (often) but not aiai -- this may be incidental since
I was there a mere 18 months or so. Another variety was
referred to as yasim (yasin?) which may be a Madak word.
