Hi again
To wink in New Ireland tends to be 'slipim ai'.
'Ai gris' is to want something and like it; not
just girls; things like 'meri ya i aigris nogut
tru long nupela laplap bilong mi'.
'Long ai bilong x' is very prominent too; 'long ai
bilong ol man' = publicly, in front of everyone.
Also: 'long ai bilong haus': in front of the house,
where the door is -- rather than the gable (whis is
the short side, isn't it?).
'Ai bilong sospen' can be the opening too, as well
as the lid, confusingly.
'aiwara' = tears
'troimwe ai' = glance
'aisait' = look sideways, surrepticiously; also 'aisaitim'
