Simbu/Chimbu

Well actually that's not quite true. The constitution and the organic law on
provincial governments only refer to Simbu, in English. (Verification
required on details.) However, most people actually say Chimbu in TP in
'Simbu' and in neighbouring Western Highalnds is my feeling.
 
Anyone have more info?

Simbu is the TP spelling and pronunciation of English Chimbu.
 
in micronesian we now have  Chuuk where once we had Truk.  so what?

you can take them to Chimbu)," the group shouted. 
 
This was in the Post-Courier today, 12 Nov 2002. Well, is it Chimbu or
Simbu?
