Long tokples blo mi steret, 'retskin' would be someone with a red skin
complexion, especially the face even with peckles. The descriptive name we give
for that is Tobweyani or Todedaya (person with redskin) which is equivalent to
the English adjective in "Ginger". In fact one of our men is named Dinda from
Ginger.
But this is neither an allusion to 'halfcaste' (hapkas - i.e. EuroAmer & native
mix only) nor is it Tok Pisin. Perhaps not yet for the latter?
