I have never heard the term "asidua" used of any kind of women.
This could be an extremely local neologism (or perhaps it started as a typo...)

But could it be that Lawrence has misheard a more common  term?

e.g.  "pasindia", which conventionally refers to freeloaders.
It can also refer to women  who are perceived (frequently by other women) as latching on to men for a 'good time' without doing 'useful' things like cooking, washing, cleaning etc.
