[Mihalic] abonono

[Stuart Robinson]

Has anyone come across this word before? While doing fieldwork in
Bougainville, I came across it as the Tok Pisin translation for a Rotokas
word glossed as "sea cow, manatee, dugong".  Thanks in advance.
