Members of the Faculty will be saddened to learn that Mrs Liu Chiang 
Tz'u-yung, wife of Professor Liu Ts'un-yan, died on Friday 28 April.

The couple were married in Hong Kong in 1940, and Mrs Liu came to 
Canberra with her husband in 1962 when he took up a position as Senior 
Lecturer in Chinese. He was later Professor and Head of the Department 
of Chinese and Dean of the Faculty.

She leaves a son and a daughter, and many colleagues will remember her 
quiet courtesy and friendship with great affection.
