ORIENT: **Christopher Kremmer at Asia Bookroom Tuesday May 23**

We are very excited to announce that well known journalist and
author Christopher Kremmer will be speaking at Asia Bookroom next
week. The author of a number of books, including the best selling
The Carpet Wars and Bamboo Palace, Christopher's new book Inhaling
the Mahatma is set in India. Inhaling the Mahatma is a literary
narrative. It is a portrait of modern India, its politics, history
and people, a journey and a biographical work. Christopher first
went to India while working as a journalist for the ABC
(Australian Broadcasting Corporation) He is now married to an
Indian woman and lives and works in India on a permanent basis.
His analytical skills combined with respect for India and its
people make this book highly recommendable.
