ORIENT: When East and West Meet: Special Morning Tea on Thursday, 8 May

Dear Colleagues:

This is to invite you to FAS's regular Thursday Morning Tea on 8 May at 10.30 in the Staff Common Room, but also to note that it is a bit special this week as I have invited our friends in the West side of BPB to join us.

I have proposed that the first Thursday of each month we hold a joint BPB Morning Tea alternating organising responsibility.  I worry that the stale TimTams and regular old coffee might not impress our guests, but I anticipate our mutual interests in languages and cultures will overcome any epicurean disappointments, and hopefully flow to productive synergetic connections.
