About: end of day: what to do with your PC
When you've finished with your PC for the day:
1. save your work and close running programs
2. leave the computer switched on
3. turn your screen off
Why?
==
Every night a Faculty network agent updates your system software. Your
PC must be on for this to work. Sometimes your PC will be remotely
rebooted after the update. If you've got unsaved files open your work
will be lost.
Macs
==
Does this apply to Macs? No. But leave your Mac running anyway. It's
easier on the hardware.
