Alo PI members!
Upcoming Pacific-related events are listed at: http://pacificinstitute.anu.edu.au/events.
It is a busy week with several seminars, three public lectures and a roundtable Friday 24 August on Timor-Leste.
On Monday 21 August, The Hon Bob Carr (Foreign Minister of Australia) will speak on Australia's relationships with Asia; we expect he will have something to say about the Pacific. On Tuesday 22 August, The Hon Gordon D. Lilo, Prime Minister of Solomon Islands, will speak on his nation's economy and on Wednesday 23 August, we hope to hear a little about US multilateralism in the region from Dr Esther Brimmer, US Assistant Secretary of State for International Organizations, who is stopping by at ANU on her way to the Pacific Islands Forum.
As usual, all new posts to Outrigger are at: http://asiapacific.anu.edu.au/blogs/pacificinstitute with feature items at top of page.
