[ANU Pacific.Institute] ANU Pacific Islands Field School Auction Fundraiser - Monday 10 November 6pm Hedley Bull Foyer

Dear Colleagues,

This year in late November sixteen ANU students will take part in the Pacific Islands Field School in Hawai‘i. This annual course introduces students to the Pacific through practical engagement with the islands, and previous field schools have been successfully held in Samoa, Fiji and the Solomon Islands.

While the students are very grateful to the College of Asia and the Pacific for individual grants, they still need to raise some funds for activities in addition to their course program (a visit to the Polynesian Cultural Centre, museums, a tour of the island, gifts for hosts etc).

We have an auction fundraiser planned where students have made artwork, sourced movie tickets, some excellent wines, a Samoan wooden carving, Solomon Islands jewellery, some crystal glasses, a ceramic bowl,  a framed Indigenous print, and much more! Items will sell for around $20 to $30 each, and the money will go into a pool of funds for the group.
