This is to inform the Pacific Institute of the recently-established Centre for Applied Youth Research (CAYR) and the upcoming youth symposium Insecurity/Innovation/Insight: Meeting the challenges facing youth in Asia and the Pacific being held 31 July at UTAS Sandy Bay (Hobart) campus.
We would appreciate if you would circulate the following information on the upcoming symposium and CAYR among your colleagues and networks. A symposium flyer is attached.
Upcoming Symposium: Insecurity/Innovation/Insight: Meeting the challenges facing youth in Asia and the Pacific being held 31 July 2015 at the University of Tasmania, Sandy Bay (Hobart) campus. Organised by the Centre for Applied Youth Research (CAYR) with a line-up of speakers from across the Asia-Pacific region. CAYR members are eligible for a discounted registration to the symposium. Further information on the symposium is available at: www.cayr.info/cayr-symposium/<http://www.cayr.info/cayr-symposium/>
Membership in the Centre for Applied Youth Research: For supporters of youth research, policy and practice in the Asia-Pacific region, membership in the Centre for Applied Youth Research (CAYR) is now available. Established in the wake of the defunding of the seminal journal Youth Studies Australia, CAYR addresses the need for more engagement among researchers and practitioners in youth-related fields. Members receive the international, peer-reviewed Journal of Applied Youth Studies (JAYS), an online resource with an emphasis on Pacific and Asian regions. Produced by the experienced editorial team of Professor Rob White, Academic Editor, Sheila Allison and Sue Headley, Co-editors and Kate Gross, Books Editor. To become a member, including a subscription to JAYS, go to: www.cayr.info/join-cayr/<http://www.cayr.info/join-cayr/>
