[ANU Pacific.Institute] USP ANU MoU

Dear members of the Pacific Institute

It appears that the MoU with USP is certain to go ahead.  In order to make this a meaningful document a sub-committee was established to be focal point for co-ordinating a range of activities to be rolled out under the MoU.  The subcommittee met yesterday and as a starting point decided it would be useful to have an audit of existing collaborations with USP that could be built upon.  I have compiled a table (attached).  If you have information to add then please email it to Christine Sullivan who has kindly agreed to be the aggregating person for this task (christine.sullivan at anu.edu.au<mailto:christine.sullivan at anu.edu.au>). If you have any ideas to add to the list of suggested mechanisms this would also be appreciated.  We also intend to contact USP and see if they have or will have a similar focal group we can work with.  The Dean indicated that some funding may be available for some initial activities and we will let you know further details when we have them.  Finally, Roannie has kindly agreed to take over chairing this committee when she returns from overseas on 13 July.
