Margaret, Chris and I would like to thank you all so much for your very rich and thoughtful feedback on the proposed submission.  To the best of our ability we have incorporated it all (inevitably the final submission is now three pages).  For your information please find attached the final submission. I am sure that we will have future opportunities for input into this process so do please raise any further points with the members of the Board.

In light of the ongoing Academic Review of the ANU's School of Culture, History and Language, in which a substantial proportion of our membership is based, the Pacific Institute Board has prepared a brief statement on the significance of Pacific Studies at ANU generally, and the contribution of CHL more specifically.
