Dear all,
We know you are all following the very sad news in PNG as it unfolds (for those unaware, see http://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2016/jun/08/papua-new-guinea-png-shooting-deaths-police-fire-student-protesters).
We hope you are all ok and your families at are home too. Please look after yourselves during this difficult time.
Given this distressing situation we - ANU staff, The PNG Canberra Students Association and members of the PNG community in Canberra and Queanbeyan - have organised a prayer vigil to express solidarity with the PNG people during this difficult time and condolences for lives lost.
Please join us for a prayer vigil tomorrow evening - Thursday 9th June from 6pm to 10pm at the ANU Coombs Tea Room at 9 Fellows Road, ANU, Acton.
As usual please bring a plate to share. Drinks and coffee will be provided.
Let us help each other during this time.
For further information please contact Michelle Rooney (0451679466) or Deveni Temu (6125 8835).
