Dear All,

Are you a student or do you mentor or teach a student who has written an essay concerned with the histories of Oceania?

This is just a reminder to all Pacific Institute members that entries for the Gunson Prize in Pacific History are welcome by 31st March to jph at anu.edu.au<mailto:jph at anu.edu.au>.

This prize is open to postgraduate or senior students from any country. The prize is AUD$1,000 and will be presented at the 22nd biennial Pacific History Association in Guam, 19-21 May 2016. Though entrants for the prize need not attend the conference, they are of course warmly welcome!

The essay should be in English, between 5,000-8,000 words, including any notes, on any topic relating to the pasts of the Island Pacific and its peoples.

For further information about the prize, see the Journal of Pacific History facebook page https://www.facebook.com/journalofpacifichistory/ or contact jph at anu.edu.au<mailto:jph at anu.edu.au>.

For information about the 2016 PHA conference, see http://www.pacifichistoryassociation.net/#!conferences/c10d6.

Best,

Vicki
