This may be of interest to PI members.
Dear AAPS community,
We are delighted to call for proposals for panels for our 2020 conference, which is being organised by the Melbourne Pacific Studies Network in partnership with the Melbourne Museum and Footscray Community Arts Centre. The conference will be held in Melbourne, 14-17 April 2020, with the theme Decolonisation and the Trans-Pacific. We are taking as our focus the work of the late Pacific historian Tracey Banivanua Mar, and specifically her ground-breaking bookDecolonisation and the Pacific: Indigenous Globalisation and the Ends of Empire (Cambridge University Press, 2016).
Please see the call for panel proposals attached, and circulate widely to others who may be interested. Put the conference dates in your diary, and get in touch if you have any questions! A call for individual paper proposals will open later in 2019.
Best,
Victoria Stead, Kalissa Alexeyeff and Kim Kruger
(2020 conference co-convenors)
