Dear colleagues

In order to celebrate Vanuatu's 40th anniversary of independence, the Pacific Institute has created an online space that highlights some of the great work we have all engaged in over the years relating to, and working in and with, Vanuatu. We had hoped to accompany this online presentation with a live forum with Vanuatu's High Commissioner and some current ni-Vanuatu HDR students reflecting on future agendas. However, as has so often happened this year, it did not work out as planned. We do hope to have the opportunity to do this at a later date, but in the meantime I invite you to browse the site and to share the resources there widely with colleagues in Vanuatu and the region.

(we can of course still add to this if you send material through)

We also draw to your attention the exhibition, A Celebration of Vanuatu: Vanuatu materials in the ANU Archives<http://archives.anu.edu.au/exhibitions/celebration-vanuatu-vanuatu-materials-anu-archives>, created by the Pacific Research Archive that is currently on display on level 2 of Menzies Library and in the Archives reading room.

Kind regards

Miranda and George
