Dear Pacific Institute Colleagues and Friends,

Welcome back and Happy Lunar New Years! Despite the trying last few weeks of smoke, hail and recent fire we hope that 2020 can be a productive one to all our Institute members and affiliates.

The Pacific Institute board would like to extend our congratulations to fellow member and colleague Professor Margaret Jolly and her recent appointment as a Member of the Order of Australia on 25 January 2020 for her significant service to education, particularly to gender and Pacific studies.
