Subject: Advertisement for a new Policy Fellow at Australia Pacific Security College

Colleagues,

As you may be aware, the Australia Pacific Security College is advertising for a Pacific Fellow/Lecturer at Level C/D to take a leadership role in the diverse projects and research of the College.  Currently we have projects with Pacific regional agencies and governments across the wide spectrum of security from climate/resilience, human, resource and traditional security with a strong emphasis on collaboration, action learning and capacity building.  Our flagship teaching programs focus on Strategic Analytical Techniques , Strategic Policy Making, and Networked and Integrated Law Enforcement to advance security in the region and build capacity in partnership with Pacific island colleagues.

Interested Pacific-based colleagues are encouraged to apply, if interested.

PSC is seeking to appoint a scholar and expert in fields related to Pacific Security at either the Fellow or Senior Fellow level.  The Policy Fellow / Senior Policy Fellow (Pacific Security) will support the PSC Director in leading consultation and engagement with Forum Island Countries regarding their security priorities, national security policy frameworks and security capabilities, with a view to informing the development of relevant and effective national security strategies, professional education on Pacific security, and high impact research on Pacific security.

This is an Academic Appointment to be made at the C or D academic level depending on the successful candidate.  We would be delighted if you could circulate widely amongst your networks.  Please let us know if you would like any further information at all.
