Dear Pacific Institute Members,

The Pacific Manuscripts Bureau and the ANU Gender Institute are excited to invite you to a webinar about women in the Pacific Manuscripts Bureau collection.

In 1992, PMB released a guide to collections copied by the Bureau that are by or about women. Thirty years later, around 500 collections - at least 60 of them by or about women - have been added to the PMB catalogue. The creation of an updated finding aid will contextualise these collections for present day researchers and apply a contemporary research lens to highlight records of diverse women in the Pacific.

Please join me, Dr Deborah Lee-Talbot and Annie Kwai to learn about how the updated guide is progressing (findings, challenges, limitations) and hear stories about some of the women you can find in the PMB collection. For details and registration, please visit the ANU Gender Institute webpage https://genderinstitute.anu.edu.au/events/women-pacific-manuscripts-bureau-collection.

Many thanks,

Kari
