* Time/date: Monday 14 April 5-6.30pm
* Venue: Hedley Bull foyer.
We're excited to announce the launch of John Conroy's book, Edward Kelvin Fisk: Pioneer development economist of The Australian National University.
In 1960, John Crawford hired Fred Fisk, then working in Malaysia, to the ANU. Fisk's subsequent work on subsistence affluence, first in PNG and then in Fiji and other Pacific island economies, had a deep and lasting impact both in the region, and internationally.
A new book Edward Kelvin Fisk: Pioneer development economist of The Australian National University by Dr John Conroy who has worked for extended periods in both PNG and Indonesia, propounds for a new generation the work of Fred Fisk, bringing to life its theoretical foundations, its numerous applications and its cross-disciplinary linkages.
Join us on Monday April 14 at 5pm the Hedley Building Foyer for the launch of John Conroy's book by Professor Emeritus Hal Hill and Professor Jane Golley.
There is no registration required for this event. Any enquiries, please contact Development Policy Centre, devpolicy at anu.edu.au<mailto:devpolicy at anu.edu.au>.
