Hi.

There are two seminars on Papua New Guinea coming up that may be of interest to Pacific Institute members.

UPNG staff member and DPA Pacific visitor Mr Keimelo Gima will be presenting later this month. Please find details at the following link: https://bellschool.anu.edu.au/event/nobodies-somebodies-moukele-migrant-workers-ncd-png-new-zealand-and-australia

Mr Murray Thomas will be presenting his research findings on 10 February. He is a PhD candidate and I am one of his supervisors, along with Professor Anthony Regan and Professor Sinclair Dinnen. Mr Thomas’s research has analysed a key historical period in PNG politics and law. Please find details at the following link: https://events.humanitix.com/interesting-times-in-papua-new-guinea-politics-versus-rule-of-law-1-july-2010-to-3-august-2012

These are public events, with both in-person and hybrid attendance options.

Amanda
