More Instructors Needed!

The club needs instructors to help with the current sailing courses. Since teaching is an excellent way to further your own skills, you are welcome to get involved if you have done a course yourself and a little bit of extra sailing beyond that. There will be several experienced instructors at each lesson and you will learn a lot from the experience. If you don’t feel quite confident actually demonstrating sailing, it’s still great to have semi-experienced people around to help with rigging and answer general questions. Course 1

Sunday 16th 10am - 2
Wednesday 19th 5pm - 8
Sunday 23rd 10am - 2 (BBQ at clubhouse)

Course 2

Sunday 16th 2am - 6
Tuesday 18th 5pm - 8 (followed by a BBQ and club AGM)
Sunday 23rd 2pm - 6 (BBQ at clubhouse)


Renewing Membership

Membership can be renewed at any of the above sailing course sessions or just before the AGM. Otherwise renew during business hours at the SRA Office. If you join this way it's a good idea to drop the Secretary or Webmaster an email (contact details on club website) so that you stay on the mailing list, or get back on it as the case may be - we'll be updating soon after the AGM.

Annual General Meeting

When: Tuesday 18th March 8pm (arrive at 7:30pm for a BBQ).
Where: Clubhouse, Yarralumla Bay
Come along to the AGM for a BBQ and to see out the old and meet the new Committee. If you are thinking of nominating for a committee position please register your interest with Returning Officer Kerry Vinall
(kvinall at myrealbox.com, 0412263307). We’d love to see some new faces and there are usually plenty of positions for people who are keen but low on sailing experience.


Weekend at the Coast

When: Saturday 29th March to Sunday 30th March
Where: Lake Tuross on the South Coast 2.5 hrs from Canberra
The club will be holding a weekend away without the pressures of racing for new and old members. Come down to sail, windsurf, surf or simply relax on the beach.
