[Sailingclub] Sunday Sailing

I will be opening the club for casual sailing this Sunday from 12 to
4pm. The plan is to "piggy back" on the Canberra Yacht Club's winter
racing series. More people sailing and rescue boats etc.

Hopefully, this casual sailing will continue for the next couple of
months, and be a regular fortnightly fixture. But it is going to depend
on people treating the conditions with due respect. So a few "rules"
for winter sailing:

The satandard club rules apply.

All boats in by 4pm.

Make sure you are well equipped for the weather. It is getting colder,
and the lake temperature is dropping. Wetsuits are looking increasingly
compulsory, along with spray jackets etc.

Make sure you bring a current membership card that is stamped. (There
will be random checks! :-) )

This is not "take a mate sailing" day. Given the increased risks with
winds and cold, people on the water should know what they are doing.

In the end, all people sailing are responsible for their own safety.
Neither the club nor myself take any responsibility should anything go
wrong.
