Sailing Sessions

The following supervised sailing sessions will be held. This is a chance to practice sailing while supervised or ask about how to rig more advanced boats.

Monday 22nd 1700-2000 (followed by drinks at CYC)

Wednesday 24th 1600-1900 (followed by pretrip meeting for Tuross Trip)

Weekend to Tuross Head 27th/28 March

Sailing/Kayaking/Beach Weekend To Tuross Head 27th - 28th

The plan is to drive down to Tuross Heads on the south coast (2.5hr drive) on Friday night and car camp at a caravan park which is just metres from a surf beach and 10 minutes walk to the shops. With a surf beach and sheltered lakes it is an ideal location for sailing, kayaking, surfing or just relaxing on the beach. On the Saturday night there will be the traditional BBQ and beach party.

This trip is ideal for those who want to get to know other members of the club in a relaxed setting. There will be plenty of water activities (sailing, kayaking, windsurfing) to keep you amused although we we usually find that most people are happy just to hang out at the beach.

Put your name down by emailing me.

Camp fees: $12 per person per night
Petrol: Approx $20-30
Pretrip Meeting: At clubhouse 1900 Wednesday 24th March

Beginners Learn to Race (all standards of sailor welcome to compete).

This is a beginners series and is designed for those who have just completed a beginners course and want to learn how to race. As opposed to normal racing, coaching powerboats will be on hand to give advice and assist you. This is an excellent opportunity to learn to race however there is no compulsion to race and you could just go sailing with the added safety of rescue boats. There is no cost since it is paid by the ANUSC.

Tuesday night racing starts at 1800 so get down around 1715 or 1730 to rig. Racing finishes at approx 1930 so you will be derigged by around 2000.

Racing continues until the end of March so start turning up.
