Members

Please note that if you would like to go sailing during a sailing course,
you can as long as you take trainees out sailing and show them how to sail
(mainly for the this week and this Sunday, and for the 1st week of the next
course).

In the 2nd and 3rd week, the trainees should be sailing by themselves

Subject: [Sailingclub] Sailing Club boat shed access

Hello

to all new and continuing ANUSC members. I am the club's Boat House officer,
and as such
I'm responsible for organising member access to the boat shed.

ANUSC members can use any boat which they can safely rig and sail (as judged
by our
Commodore, Captain of Boats, Training Officer etc.). Club members can sail
for free on
the general-use boat of their choice (I.e. the 4 Lasers, 2 Tasars, 1 Laser
II, and
several windsurfers). Please note that there are also privately owned boats,
and boats
restricted for use in races, which are stored in the boat shed. These boats
are not to be
used for general sailing.

ANUSC members can sail for free at any time when the boat shed is open. The
club tries to
ensure that this is the case 3-4 times per week, however the sailing courses
currently
being run by the club take priority over general sailing, and so there will
be less
access for the next few weeks.

In addition to these Open Hours (listed below), club members who can safely
sail can hire
a boat shed key for 1 week, for $5 plus a refundable $20 deposit.

Members can also take guests sailing, however there MUST be a ANUSC member
on board each
boat. The pricing structure for guests is under review, so please contact me
for details
(see below), or wait for an upcoming email.

Open Hours for the next few weeks:

Tues 1: Today! Open from around 5:30pm. Twilight racing.
Wed 2: Training course from 5-8. No other sailing using these boats.
Sat 5: Open Day 2. Hopefully we'll have a sunny day this time. Open from
2pm.
Sun 6: Training course all day. No other sailing using these boats.
Mon 7:Training course from 5-8. No other sailing using these boats.
Tues 8: Open from 5:30pm. Twilight racing.
Wed 9: Training course from 5-8. No other sailing using these boats.
Thurs 10: Training course from 5-8. No other sailing using these boats.
Sat 12: Open from 12:30pm.
Sun 13: Training course all day. No other sailing using these boats.

We will organise extra opening hours in the above time period to make up for
it being so
busy, so stay tuned to this mailing list for more details. To hire a key for
$5 per week
plus a refundable $20 deposit, please contact one of:
