Dear all,
I'll be opening the boatshed at about 1745 on Tuesday for beginners racing
/ boat handling with the YMCA yacht club. The session is run by Dan a
pommie guy on exchange from a prestigious sailing school in the UK.
Each Tuesday Dan is running a theory session from 1700 followed by a
sailing session from ~ 1815-1930. Rather than just racing the Twilights
will include a range of basic boat handling skills that will help improve
your sailing! A program will be out soon outlining the focus for each
twilight session.
So meet me at the YMCA at 1700 or at the ANU boatshed ~1745. For anyone who
doesn't know, the YMCA is straight across the bay from our boatshed.
This kind of training entirely exceeds the value of what you paid for your
ANU beginners course and your ANU sailing club membership. So if you've got
any intention at all of continuing with sailing after your beginners course
you should grab the chance while it's there. The whole thing is for
beginners so there's no expectations that you should be any better than you
are after an ANU course. I can help with rigging a laser if you've
forgotten and you'll be rescued if you get into any difficulties.
Any other questions give me a call 6125 2619 (business hours).
Reminder to Vanessa Tathen: The boatshed key you hired is well overdue.
Please contact me and arrange to return asap.
Adam
